May & June 2015 - Training Sessions


Here is the latest training information for May & June.  We will be moving outdoors for Saturday mornings (at 9am).

Tuesdays and Thursdays will stay at Ripple Effect as we can open the big bay door so we can work both indoors and outdoors, plus have all of the equipment to use as well.

Please make note of the Saturdays in May with no training session. There will also be no training on Tuesday June 30th and Thursday July 2nd.

Workout Gear Swap & Buy

April 2015 - Workout 1 (little to no equipment necessary)

Some PT clients and class participants were asking for workouts they could do on their own. 
So, I am going to post a handful of workouts per month right here.  Some of the workouts might look familiar or similar to what I may have taught in a past class or training session.
Sometimes, it will be a short video, maybe some photos or just a written workout.  If you need any clarification, please ask via email at breanne@funkyfit.ca or in person.

This workout should take about 30 to 40min.  You will need a mat, skipping rope, and bench or step (with about 4 or 5 risers per side).

Warm Up (5 to 10min) - high knees, skipping, bike or run

Set #1
50 Skips
10 Squats
10 Push Ups
10 Right Leg Step Ups
10 Left Leg Step Ups
x5

*3 to 5min CARDIO INTERVAL

Set #2
10 Barbell or Dumbbell Row
10 Plyometric or Jump Lunges
10 Bench Triceps Dips
10 Hug & Release
x4

*3 to 5min CARDIO INTERVAL

Set #3
10 Barbell or Dumbbell Biceps Curls
10 Alligator Push Ups
10 Laces Crunch
x4

Cooldown/Stretch

Femsport 2014 - Edmonton Edition

Here are some photos that I forgot to post from Femsport 2014. I was part of team….
we were called the Missfits.  
Femsport consists of an Obstacle Course, Box Jumps, Tire Drag, Tire Flip, 
and Kettlebell Relay (and, Inverted Rows).  
This was my second year competing in this event, which is held in Fort Saskatchewan at JohnnyB Fitt.


Water jug carry is part of the Obstable Course (changes every year).


Kettlebell Relay……lots of concentration.


Tire Drag….secret ingredient for success - determination.


My team….fun times with lots of laughs.
